On the 4th of July (Yes, I'm just barely blogging about that...) we left Boston at home to hang out with grandma and grandpa and headed out to the lake. Avrie in her stylish sunglasses agian...

We couldn't miss the infamous Idaho Falls fireworks but figured it wasn't a great idea to head right into all the action by the river with a 2 week old baby. So we parked in a field a little further away and enjoyed the show from a distance. We just made a little couch in the back of the Yukon and, even more importantly, got to drive straight home afterwards intstead of sitting in traffic forever. It just wasn't the same not being right uner the action so I think we'll brave the crowds again next year to be right under them.

Aves and Bubba, her cousin, are as opposite as they come. He is an adventurous-crazy-climbs-anywhere-tough boy. Avrie is a timid-high-pitched-chatty-girly girl. But they sure love each other! Seperately, they are both good little kids. But once they get together... man, it's like calling out the troops. There is no stoppin' these two!

Avrie has found a new accessory. How do you like her hat?

We have two strainers and for some reason they are both "hats." None of the other big bowls in the house are hats, but those two strainers might as well be hanging in her closet next to her shoes and belts. This little girl loves her hat!

We went and fed the ducks at the river one day and Avrie loved throwing the bread out to them. She got to the point where she wouldn't even turn around for a new piece, she would just hold her hand out over her shoulder and knew that Klay would stick a piece in so she could throw it. What a spoiled little girl!

Boston's idea of feeding the ducks... looks about the same as going boating to me!
